Before you can participate in Experts, you’ll need to be eligible in the building. Eligibility is determined by your deal history, whether you have the required number of deals in that property (an amount set by StreetEasy). If you have claimed the required number of deals there, and the deal was closed within the last ten years, you are eligible to represent the building and its listings as an Expert.
Below are some frequently asked questions about Expert eligibility:
What is the requirement to be an Expert?
To become an Expert, you must have closed sales within the past 10 years and claimed them on your StreetEasy profile. Once you are enrolled as an Expert, you must have 1 or 2 closed sales (depending on the property) in a specific building to appear as an Expert in that building.
I represented the buyer and the seller. Does that count as two deals?
No, this would be considered one transaction.
How can I tell what buildings I’m eligible for?
To determine the buildings on which you’ll appear as an Expert prior to signing a contract, please reach out to our Support team by completing this form. Once submitted, we’ll be in touch with a list of your eligible buildings.
If you’ve already signed on to Experts, you’ll be able to see your eligible buildings in your Experts Dashboard, in the ‘My Buildings’ section.
How can I tell what the building requirement is?
You can reach out to our Support team by completing this form and requesting the requirements of a specific address. Once completed, we’ll be able to let you know if the requirement is 1 or 2 deals, or if the building is ineligible.
How many agents can be considered an Expert?
There is no limit on how many Experts can represent a building, so long as they fit the eligibility criteria. Please note that only three Experts will appear on the building page at a given time. These featured Experts will rotate if there are more than three in a building.
