What you should know:
Listing status indicates to home buyers and renters the availability of your listing. As an agent, it is important to make sure your listings reflect the correct status to help potential clients better understand availabilities, help you track your listing history, preserve StreetEasy listing integrity, and prevent extra charges.
Administrative statuses
Draft: A listing created but not yet advertised on StreetEasy or the New York City market. You can edit and delete a draft listing.
In brokerage review: A draft listing in review with its related brokerage. It needs approval to become active on StreetEasy. Please reach out to your listing department for approval.
In StreetEasy review: A draft listing in review with our compliance team. To become active on StreetEasy, we need to approve it.
On-market statuses
Active: A listing advertising a home for sale or rent on StreetEasy. An active listing accrues days on market. For rental listings, the active status enables invoices to process.
In contract (sales): A sales listing with an accepted offer and contract signed by the buyer and the seller. Until the sale closes, it stays on the market. The days-on-market count stops, but this does not allow advertisers to create a new listing with zero days on-market after 90 days.
In contract (rentals): A rental listing with an accepted application. Until the lease is complete, this listing stays on the market. The days-on-market count stops, but this does not allow advertisers to create a new listing with zero days on-market after 90 days.
Off-market statuses
Sold: For sale listings, when a deal has been closed, it is essential to mark the listing as Sold. Doing so, StreetEasy will automatically start looking for sale records on ACRIS (Automated City Register Information System). When a match is found, a closing page will be created, and where the selling and buying agents can claim the deal. (Please note that depending on the case, this can take from 2- 8 weeks)
Temporarily off market: This status will stop billing for rentals. The listing will no longer appear on search results and under the building page as an active listing. The status is used to indicate that the listing is on pause and will be coming back on the market in a few days or a week.
Delisted: This status will stop billing for rentals. The listing will no longer appear on search results and under the building page as an active listing. This status is used to indicate that the agent no longer has the exclusive and will not be posting the listing in the future.
No longer available: This status will stop billing for rentals. The listing will no longer appear on search results and under the building pages as an active listing. This is used when the agent wants to pause the listing and does not wish to receive contacts.
Questions:
How do I change the status of my listing?
- Under Agent Tools, click on My Listings
- Switch between Sales and Rentals tabs to locate your listing
- When you find your listing, select the three-dot menu in the top right-hand corner
- From the menu, select Edit Listing
- Once you’re in edit mode, select the Status drop-down in the top right corner
- elect your desired status from the drop-down, then save
Why can't I change the status of my listing to Active?
It's probably because the listing has been off the market for more than 90 consecutive days. If that's the case, you’ll need to create a new listing..

What I am asking is about how I can edit the rental listing's avaialble date from 1/15/24 to AVAILABLE NOW.
Please let me know how to edit the date of availability as AVAILABLE NOW or please edit it like that on behalf of me.
