30-day policy
A listing must be off-market for at least 30 consecutive days before it can be re-listed and appear as a new listing on StreetEasy. Days on Market must be an accurate reflection of how long a unit has been available. For that reason, Days on Market does not reset if a seller changes agents or brokerages during the 30-day off-market period.
For clarity, removing a listing from the Services but continuing to publicly market the listing as defined in StreetEasy's Listings Quality Policy does not qualify as off-market. StreetEasy reserves the right to alter Days on Market if evidence exists to support this. Listing History will not be removed or altered.
When you try to create a new listing for the property, you'll see an error message. It will direct you to re-activate the off-market listing that has not yet been off-market for 30 days.
How do I take over an off-market listing?
To have a sale listing transferred, contact your listing department or our support team. We will remove the existing agents and replace them with the agents who will make up the new listing team.
To have a rental listing transferred, you must contact your brokerage's listing department. Rental listings are tied to a specific billable agent, so your listing department will need to re-activate the existing listing and select the new billable agent. All brokerages have a manager account (listing department) with these permissions. They are aware of our policy and will be able to help.
