How do I create and advertise a rental listing?

You can create a rental listing from your StreetEasy agent account. During the listing-creation process, you can choose a Rental Boost ad plan to set the level of advertising exposure for that individual listing.

Create a rental listing

1. Sign in to your StreetEasy agent account.

2. Hover over Agent Tools and select Listings.

3. Select + Create New Listing.

4. Choose New Rental.

5. Enter the listing address and unit number, then select Create Listing.

6. Complete the listing details, including required information, pricing, availability, and photos.

7. Save your progress as you go. When you are ready to continue, open the Ad Plan step in Direct Entry.

Choose a Rental Boost ad plan

Rental Boost lets you select the advertising plan that best fits one rental listing. Your available plan options and current price are displayed in the Ad Plan step before you confirm.

• Basic: Publish your listings across our NYC Rental Network: StreetEasy, Zillow, Trulia, and Hotpads.

• Plus: Everything in Basic, plus prominent placement in StreetEasy renter emails and placing your listing ads on similar listing pages on StreetEasy.

• Premium: Everything in Basic and Plus, with the ability to feature your listings in top spots on StreetEasy search result pages, an enhanced listing display, and distinctive map icons.

To select a plan:

1. In the Ad Plan step, review the available plans and select the plan you want for this listing.

2. Review the plan details and price shown for your listing. Prices can vary by market and may change, so always rely on the amount displayed in the checkout flow.

3. Select Continue or Review plan to proceed.

Add or confirm payment

If your selected plan requires payment, StreetEasy will ask you to confirm an existing payment method or add a new one before you publish.

1. On the payment screen, select an existing payment method or enter a new card.

2. Confirm the payment information and billing details shown.

3. Continue to the Review plan screen.

Review and publish your listing

Before publishing, review your selected Rental Boost plan, the daily price, and any required acknowledgments.

1. Confirm that the listing details and selected plan are correct.

2. Review and accept any required terms.

3. Select Publish listing to make the rental listing active.

For a new listing, charges for a paid Rental Boost plan begin after the listing is published. Your selected plan stays with the listing until you change it or take the listing off market.

Change a Rental Boost plan later

You can update a listing's Rental Boost plan after it is published:

1. Go to Agent Tools > My Listings > Rentals.

2. Find the listing and select Edit Listing.

3. Open the Ad Plan step and select a new plan.

4. Review the change and complete checkout if prompted.

Changes to a published listing's plan take effect the next day. If you move from Premium to another plan, StreetEasy will show a confirmation before you continue because the enhanced media experience will no longer be active when the new plan starts.
