As an agent participating in the Experts program, you're required to provide the details of your transactions. Please follow the instructions below to report and edit your Experts transactions on StreetEasy in just 3 easy steps.
How to report a transaction
Step 1: Report a new transaction
When you update the status of your connection to In Contract you will be prompted to report a new transaction on your dashboard. Alternatively, you can report a new transaction directly from a connection’s profile.
In both scenarios you will see the option to report a new transaction. Selecting this option will direct you to a new page where you can provide the details of your transaction.
Step 2: Fill out the transaction details
When you report a new transaction you will be prompted to fill out the details of the transaction. Please make sure all the details are entered correctly. Dollar amounts should match the executed contract.
You’ll see the option to provide the following information:
- Brokerage and Agent Details
- Agent Representation: Buyer or Seller
- Agent Commission
- Direct Concession To Client (if applicable)
- Concession Details
- Buyer / Seller and Property Details
- Buyer Name
- Seller Name
- Property Address, Unit, City, State, and Zip Code
- Offer Accepted Date
- Anticipated Closing Date
- Closing Price
- Closing Documents
- Copy of contract sent
- Copy of commission check sent
- Additional Notes to StreetEasy
Step 3: Update the status of your transaction
Now that you’ve provided all of the details for your transaction you can use the transaction status to manage your transaction as it progresses. You will see the option to select the following:
- In Contract - Offer has been accepted and contract countersigned by both parties
- Sale Closed - Closing is complete
- Renegotiating - The terms of the contract are being negotiated
- Deal Lost - The deal is no longer on the table and has been lost
Once the sale has taken place and all required information and documents have been provided you are required to update the status of your transaction to Sale Closed. This will kickoff the billing process and your brokerage will be invoiced for the transaction.
If the contract terms are being renegotiated you can update the status of the transaction to Renegotiating.
If the contract falls through and the deal is lost you can select Deal Lost.
Note: Once you mark a transaction as Sale Closed or Deal Lost you will not be able to edit the details of that transaction.
How to view and edit your transactions
As you continue to close deals through the Experts program and report transactions you will have the ability to view and edit the details of your transactions in progress.
Transactions Page
Once you’ve logged into your StreetEasy agent account, hover your mouse over Agent Tools and select Transactions. This will direct you to a page where you can view all of your transactions. You’ll see the ability to view the details of each transaction by selecting View Details.
You’ll have the ability to edit transactions that have the status of In Contract or Renegotiating. Once a transaction is marked as Sale Closed or Deal Lost you will not be able to edit the details of the transaction.
Connection Profile
You can also view all of your transactions for a single connection. To do so, find the connection you’re looking for and access the connection’s profile. From the connection’s profile you will see the option for transactions. Selecting transactions will show you all transactions for a connection and the ability to report a new transaction.
How to delete a transaction
Currently, the option to delete a transaction does not exist. If you created a transaction by mistake, you will see the option to cancel that transaction upon creation. If an In Progress transaction falls through, you can update the status of that transaction to Deal Lost.
