How does billing work?
Agents are billed on the 1st of each month for all Rental charges incurred during the previous month.
Will my card be charged automatically?
The card on file will be automatically charged.
To review the card on file, go to Account > Billing Account.
The card listed will be the card billed for rental charges. You can adjust this by updating the card to the one you'd like to use instead.
What happens if the charge is declined?
StreetEasy will automatically attempt to charge the card on file up to 3 times before marking the agent as delinquent. Charges will be attempted on the 1st, 7th, and 15th of the month. Past Due accounts become limited -- agents will no longer be able to edit or create listings. StreetEasy support will not help edit listings -- they will only be able to help delist the listing. To regain full permissions, the past due balance must be paid first.
To pay the past due balance to avoid suspension and removal of your listings,
- Log in to your agent account
- Go to Account
- Click on Billing Account
- Update the card on file
Updating the card on file will automatically trigger a charge for all past-due invoices.
*Note, we do not accept partial payments or take payment information over the phone or email.
What happens if I don't pay my past-due balance by the 15th?
If StreetEasy is unable to collect payment by the 15th, the agent account will automatically be flagged as delinquent. All rental listings will be delisted automatically.
The agent will then have 2 days to settle the balance by following the previously mentioned instructions to regain full agent permissions.
I paid my balance, but my listings are not active yet, why?
Listings removed due to the delinquency flag are not automatically reactivated. After your account is back in good standing, you will need to reactivate those listings by going to Agent Tools > Off-Market listings.
IMPORTANT: Accounts not paid by the 17th of the month, will have their agent permissions revoked and all remaining sale listings delisted. The removal of agent permissions includes access to chat and Agent Tools. The account will appear like a consumer account again.
To regain agent permissions, payment must be made by going to Account > Billing Account and updating the card on file with the card that will be used to settle the balance. Once paid, please contact billing@streeteasy.com for help reinstating agent permissions -- these will not be reinstated automatically.
